HAWERA MONTHLY SALE.

Haweba, Friday. Mr. Freeman E. Jackson reports:—The «ale to»day was well attended by purchasers, and bidding brisk, every lot being sold under the hammer. The sheep were of splendid quality, and met a good market. The quotations are:—Cows, L 4 6s to L4los; 18-month-old steers, L 3 12s 6d; 2-year-olds, L 4 ss; heifers, L 4 Is; yearlings, L 2 7s 6d; best ewes, 10s 6d; wethers, 9s to 10s. 1800 sheep and 120 head of cattle were sold.
