MR. FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT.

Wanoanui, December 1. Since my last report I have held three Bales, viz., at Hawera, Waverley, and St. Hill-street. Prices receded slightly at the Hawera sale, but values were well maintained at Waverley. At to-day's sale store cattle sold fairiy weft, but ia no case axe prices so fcvgh as at th& corresponding sale of lost month. The sale of pure-bred bulls went off well; the attendance being large, and bidding spirited. The buyers in all cases were well satisfied with their purchases, the sale also leaving a fair profit to the vendors. Whilst the bull sale was going on, iihe newly erected "forum" was crammed with settlers and others interested in the sale, it being satisfactory to see that every effort to please my constituents was appreciated. The only sheep sold during the past fortnight were those to-day, prices being at last quotations.
