Conrtney reports •.—At the Glenavon sale yards, last week. 171? hoaA of cattle were yarded, out of which 152 head sold at eatiflfactory prices, on the whole the bidding being a decided improvement on former sales, though the prices all through were very little better. Dairy cows and working bul'loeks were not in demand. The following prices were realised:—lB good calves, £2 each; 4 rough do, £1 7s 6d; 4 do, iil 12s 6d; 22 head mixed steers and heifers, from 12 to 20 months, £2 2s 6d to JB3; Btorecows, £2 17s Od to £A; quiet dairy stores, £4 to M; small fat cows, £o io£o; 2-year-old steers, £A to £A 12s 6d; 8-year-old do, M 12s 6d to £»; good 4 and 6-year-oM, well-conditioned Bteer3, nearly fat, £Q to £Q IZa 6d; cows, calved, £5 to £6; 2 bulls, £5 15s and £7 10s; pair of hnllocks, .£l6; colt, 21s; chestnut pony, £2 158 j strung 2-year-old colt, £2 8s Messrs. 'Bauchope and King report: — On Thursday, we held our fortnightly sale at Walwakaibo. Numbers of the cattle booked did not come forward, owing, no doubt, to the excessively wild weather in the early part of the weeV. Attendance ■was moderate. Prices did not show much alteration from last sale. The following will give an idea of rates:—9 palves, from «3a fid to 37s 6d •> X calves, from L22s 6d to L 2 7s 6d; 13 good yearlings, L27s 6d to L 3; 5 calves, L 2 2s 6d; 4 springing heifers, at L 3 15s; 2 heifers, at L 3 108; 2 springing heifers, at L 3 ss; 4 heifers, L 4 7s 6d, L 3 7s 6d, L3los, LI 15s; 6 steers, at L 4 2s 6d; 2 cows, at Lo 10s, L 4, Lo, L 6, L 3, L 4.
