Exhibits, imported or of local manufacture, are respectfully invited, when prizes will be given if of oufficient merit. LEAPING MATCH. A leaping nicuch will iake place at 3.G0 p.m. Entrance fee, 10s. Three tries allowed et each rise of the bar. Baulks io count as trials. Entries for this event can be made with the Seer tary on the ground up to the time appointed for commencing the match. Galvin and Co., for best stock horse 1 1 0 Galvin and Co., one year's subscription to Hawera and Normanby Star for .best cheese made in the County. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Members of the Association can exhibit on paying the following fees : — Horses : Entires, 10s; other classes, ss. Cattle: Bulls, ss ; other classes, 2s 6d. Single sheep, 2s 6d j pen of three, ss. Pigs, 2s 6d j poultry, dogs, and produce, Is j implements, 2s 6d. Non-members to pay double fees in every case. 2. All stock exhibited must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor, or his principal. 3. The names, residences, and districts of the exhibitor and breeder, the breed of the animal he intends to exhibit, the pedi. gree of the stock as far as known — of sheep, the time of shearing — young horses and cattle, the date of birth — must be given to the Secretary with entries. 4. In cattle, class A, the ages will date from Ist August, in each year. 5. No competitor will be allowed to exhibit more than one lot in produce class. 6. Stock that cannot be shown in a competing class ca.n be exhibited as exti'a stock, and if deemed worthy of a prize by the judges, one will be awarded. 7. In no case shall a prize be adjudged, unless the judges shall deem the lot to possess sufficient merit, more especially if only one lot is exhibited. 8. All exhibits for competition must be on the Show Ground, as follows: — Sheep and pigs, before 8 a.m.; cattle 9 a.m.; horses, dairy produce, poultry, dogs, implements, 10 a.m. sharp of the Show day. Judging to commence at 10 a.m. 9. The Committee will not, under any circumstances, hold themselves responsible for loss, damage, or mis-delivery of stock, produce, or implements exhibited at the Show. 10. All protests must be in writing, and left with the Secretary before 4 o'clock on the day of the Show. The decision of the Managing Committee to be final. 11. No stock, produce, or implements exhibited to be removed from the ground until after 4 o'clock on the day of the Show, without a special order from the Secretary. 12. All horses and bulls must be led. 13. No horses vrUl be adinittrd to the ground except those entered Sor exhihiblon. ! ENTRIES. Entries for the Show will be received by the Secretary, through the post, at any time up to 5 p.m. on Thursday, 28th Octo- i ber, such entries to be made on forms wLich will be provided for that purpose, and must be accompanied by the entrance fees. Entries of stock must state the name, sex, and age of the animal intended to be exhibited, and the class and section in which it is to compete. Entries will also be received by the Secretary, at Lloyd's Hotel, Hawera, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on the 2oth October ; at D. Ballam's Hotel, Waverley, during the same hours on the 27th October ; and at the Association's Office, Carlyle, on any day (for the week previous to the Show) except those above stated, till 5 p.m. on the 28th October, when they will positively close, except where otherwise stated on the programme. Entry forms will be obtainable at the places appointed for receiving entries. N.B. — The supporters of the Association are respectfully requested to make an early payment of their subscriptions to the Hon.' Treasurer, Mr. J. Gibson, Carlyle, or to the Secretary. Exhibitors being members, and claiming privileges as such, are required to pay their subscriptions, together with entrance fees, on making their entries, if not previously paid. Receipts will be given signed by the Secretary. Tickets wiil be issued to subscribers and to exhibitors, which, on being produced at the gate will entitle them or their servants to free admission. Servants must be in charge of stock, and must be subject to the orders of the Committee. Admission to the general public, before 12 o'clock, 2s. 6d.; after that time, Is. Children, half-price.
