"WANaANni, August 11. The sale held at Waverioy was perhaps' the smallest ever held there. A very few cattle came forward. What were penned made good prices. At the yards to-day a large entry was made, every pen being full; the result being a capital sale for the vendors. Fat cattle were not in much demand. The bidding for stores was good, with plenty of purchasers. Quotations remain at late rates. The sheep at Waverley and Wonfljanui were well competed for. Stores and half-fatted animals are wanted for grazing, whilst fat sheep are scarce. Cattle. —At Waverley, 40 head were yarded—Cows, JB4 12s 6d: yearlings, £2 12s Gd. At St. Hill-street, 252 head were fiold—Fat bullocks, £7 2s 6d to £d; three-year-old bullocks, £6 10s; two-year-old «teers, J&L f>s to £4 15s; cows, £3 to £A ss; yearlings, £2 15s. Sheep.—At Waveriey 390 were penned — Fat sheep, 12s 6d; store wethers, 9s; lnmbs, 4s 6d. At the yards to-day, 719 were sold—Fat sheep, lls 9d to 12s tid; ewes, 9s 6d.
