PARLIAMENTARY NEWS.

(pee united press association.)

Wellington, Friday night. In the House of Representatives to-day, Mr. Moss resumed the no-confidence debate, which had been moved by Sir G. Grey on the previous night, criticising the financial proposals adversely, and declared that the people had paid all that they could pay in the shape of taxation, and that new forms of taxation would not increase the total amount to be contributed. Colonel Trimble defended the Government, and declared that tue agitation against the Land Tax was carried on for political purposes by men whom it would not touch.

The debate is still proceeding.
