HAWERA SALE.

Hawera, Friday.

l£r. Freeman R. Jackson reports : — The yards were fairly filled with stock of good quality. The attendance was much larger than is generally the cose, and the bidding was brisk, prices being in favor of the sellers throughout. The sale was a capital one. and satisfactory to the vendors.

Cattle. — 151 head were yarded. Fat bullocks, J6B 2s 6d j cows, £o 5s to .£6 7s 6d ; 18 montha store steers, £3 ss ; yearlings, je2 16s; milch cows, £5 2a 6d to £7 7s 6d. Sheep. — 639 were penned. Fat ewes, 7s 6d ; stores, 5s 9d. The entire number ■was Bold.

One draught mare fetched £2Q, and a buggy, mode by Mr. Hamilton, of Wanganui, realised J643.
