Information has been received by private cablegrams feorn America that Hanlan, the celebrated rowing man, has formally agreed to row Trickett on the Thames, hi November next, for the Sportsman's Cup. Trickett will start for England immediately, A meeting has been called tor the purpose of providing funds to defray the expenses of the journey. It is probable that William Trickett, a brother, will accompany the champion. Irregularities have been discovered in the accounts of the chief clerk of the Exhibition Commission. A sum of i! 500 cannot be accounted for. Melbourne, Tuesday. The Ringarooma arrived on Sunday from the Bluff.
The second reading of Mr. Service's Reform Bill be taken on Tuesday, the first of June, instead of to-morrow.
