PUBLIC MEETINGS.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR.
Mister Editor, Hawera, — The Patea editor says he is going to get Mr. Dale to call a meeting to make a disturbance about the Plains. I wish you would tell liim not to. Didn't they put the railway back six months and all the work through disturbing the railway station ? Hasn't Mr. Bryce been to look on the Plains hisself ? — and haven't he got Colonel Roberts and all his A.C. men, and Major Parris, and Major Brown and Mr. Skeet ? — and doseut he think that we should know if anything was wanted? Just mention this to that Carlyle editor, Mr. Editor. So no more from yours truly
Jemima Ann.
P.S. — You may as well say if anything is wanted to be done we'Jlbesureandlet 'einknow.
