Messrs Bauchope and Kin<? report :— On Saturday at the Masonic Stables we cleared Mr. Banks' stock at good rates. The grey mare, " Eosie," and harness, brought jeiß ]0a; cow and calf, £5; spring cart, £15 15s. Cn Tuesday we held a sale of Mr. Taylor b furniture at his residence. Attendance was fair, but bidding not so brisk as usual. At the same sole we sold 10 New Plymouth Gas shares (30s paid up) for 12s; and Inglewood town section No. 102 brought £o 10s. Mr. Courtney reports: — At Inglewood, on Thursday, sales were far from satisfactory, but he feels sure that by spring they will improve Only 4 head of cattle and 6 pigs were yarded. 1 cow sold for £6 ; 3 sucking pigs at 5s Cd, and 3 nt 7s 6d. At Glenavon, on Thursday, GO head -were yarded, and about 50 sold, at rather an improved spirit, if not at higher rates. 2 very small springers, JBS each ; 1 good cow, with calf at foot, £$ 10s ; 1 cow, .£6 10s ; 1 springer, £1; 1 heifer, £7; 5 yearlings, £3 2s Cd j 8 small 2-year-old steers, £4, ; 2 good 2-year old steers. £o; 4 2-year old steers, M 10s ; heifer in calf, JBS 10s ; cow and calf, £Q 7s 6d; 3 store cows, L 4 to L 5; 2 heifers, L 4 7s 6d each; 2 2^-year old steers, L 5 7s 6d; 2 heifers, L 5; 1 young huVL, L 3; 1 pair good staunch bullocks, LlB.
