The Niw- Zbaland Loan and Mbbcantxub Aoisct report as follows, under date London, April 21 : —
The wool sales opened with spirit on tbe 20th instant, at an advance of Id to lid on last sale prices. The opening catalogue contained 8599 bales. The sales comprise about 380,000 bales. 30,000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct The competition by both Home and foreign buyers is. active, but trade in the manufacturing districts is not so good. The Continental markets are lightly Btocked. The following have advanced since the close of last sales : — Greasy, Id per lb; clothing, washed, Id; combing, washed, 2d; -scoured, Id to lid; cross-bred, superior greasy, and superior combing, washed, id to Id. Lambs' wool market is unchanged. Soles will close on tbe 12th June. Next series will commence on the 17th August.
Tallow is dull of sale; best mutton is quoted at 33s 6d per cwt., and best beef at 32b.
The wheat market is flat; Adelaide is worth 545, and New Zealand 52s per 4961b.
