Baron, list 1 Sportsman, lOst. 21bs 2 Grey Momus, 12st 8 Baron led over the hurdles, No Name following, with Grey Momus third. No Name led over the water jump, Grey Momus second, and Sportsman third. Grey Momus refused the fifth hurdle. No Name now showed signs of meekness, and Sportsman took the lead at the next jump, Baron being two lengths behind, with the rest swarming up. They all took the eighth jump together ; Grey Momus took the eleventh jump first, with Sportsman and Baron in the order named. Grey Momus baulked at the fourteenth jump, which forms a triangle, next Sportsman baulked; Sportsman at length got over, closely followed by Baron.
