ME. ALFRED BUCKIiAND'S WEEKLY BEPORT.

At the Haymarket, on Friday last.fod»er was abundant. Best quality brought from 4s to 5s 9d ; inferior, from Is 6d per cwt. Rye grass seed, 4s 7d ; cocksfoot, 4s 3d to 4s 7d per bushel ; potatoes, 45s per ton. For the bull calves of Messrs Reid Brothers there was good competion. Prices varied with quality, from L 4 to Ll3 each. Horse stock were in good inquiry. Young animals, suitable for farm purposes, sold freely, at prices varying from LlB to L 32 .each. Good riding and buggy horses were also inquired for. At the hide and skin sale, on Tuesday, late prices were sustained. Best quality hides, 3d to 3 jd; damaged from Id per lb ; .sheepskins, from lid to 2s 5d each ; wool, in bags, 6sd to 8d per lb. At Remuera, on Thursday, daiy cows at calving were in brisk inquiry. Store cattle unsaleable, except at low values. Fat cattle in unusually full numbers. Prices were steady throughout, and but slightly lower than last week. They ranged from 22s to 24s per 1001b. Store sheep in better inquiry. Longwoolled ewes, of a good class, brought 16s and 17s 6d; ewe hoggetts, 21s 6d ; lambs, 11s. Fat sheep in moderate number, and fully 2^d per lb ; longwoolled wethers, 14s to 17s 6d. Fat lambs •were of indifferent quality, and brought from 68 to 8s 6d each. A large number of young store pigs met a ready sale at satisfactory prices.
