ILLNESS OF COMPANION Miss Helen Keller, the deaf and blind American authoress, cancelled her tour of Eastern countries because of the illness of her companion, Miss Polly Thompson, and booked a passage. back to the United States. Miss Keller, who visited New Zealand some months ago, was to have toured China, Korea, Siam, India, Pakistan and Burma.
