The Lower Hiit Ratepayers’ Association, too, de serves the thanks of the commumt) for its efforts in bringing the results obtained in Dannevirke under the notice of residents. It is claimed that at Dannevirke household refuse, instead of being a liability to the ratepayers, has become revetiue-producing through the sale of the compost into which the rubbish has been changed. The return of the compost to the soil also has very beneficial and far- / reaching results. No doubt a report will be presented to the City 7 Council on the result of the visit to Dannevirke, - and it will be awaited with interest by the general public. ■
