GRAND PRIX IN ENGLAND The first International Grand Prix motor race will be held in England on the Silverstone Airfield on Saturday, October 2. The British Air Ministry has made the airfield available to the Royal Automobile Club as a motor racing track for a trial period of twelve months. This important international event will mark the official opening of Britain’s first pre-war racing track, and the R.A.C. is confident that the race will attract entries from Europe's motor racing aces.> Limited to 25 racing cars of the Grand Prix type, this event will enable the British public to view the world’s cars driven by some of the world’s finest drivers.
