FUND REACHES £12,000

The fund opened for the relief of sufferers by the recent tornado at Hamilton and Frankton will close "today. It lias reached £12,000.

[Writing to the editor of the Hutt News a resident of Hamilton says: ‘‘.The tornado was a nerve-rack-ing experience. A power pole came through our front wall, the roof was badly damaged, and all the windows were blown out. We haven’c seen our curtains since! People have been wonderfully helpful', and builders, plumbers, electricians, etc., are doing a great job in repairing the damage.”
