WEDDING

GREEN—SMITH At the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Wellington, recently, Beverly Anne, elder (laughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Kelly Smith, To Telco. Whhkatane, was married to John Duncan, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Harold Green, Petone. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. Williams, assisted by the Rev. M. Pi rani.

The bride wore'a lovely gown of white tulle and French lace fashioned with ’a three-tiered skirt, Elizabethan sleeves, and full train. Her veil of uncut tulle fell into three tiers, and was held in place by a spray of orchids and a sequined Juliet cap. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, hyacinths and cyclamen.

Mrs. T. Batley, of Taihape, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honour and Miss Nancy Clarke, Auckland, and Miss Judith Smith, the bride’s sister, Te Telco, bridesmaids. They wore gowns of white tulle, featuring off-t'he-shoulder necklines with fichus and three-tiered skirts. On their hair they wore bands of sequined white tulle, caught at each side with a pink orchid. They carried bouquets of pinlc orchids, hyacinths and cyclamen. Mr. Victor Olceby, Lower Hutt, was best, man, and Messrs. Robert Okeby, Lower Hutt, and T. Batley, Taihape, groomsmen. During the signing ol the register Mrs. T. Batley sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hotel Waterloo, oyer 100 guests being received py Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Green. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Gteen will make their home at Haywards.
