Shop fm 9> LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL I TO ALL HOUSEHOLDERS REFUSE COLLECTION In the terms of the present Contract, the Contractor is called upon to pick up the full tins at the ROAD KERB, and to return them, with the lids on, inside the gate. The Council is faced with the ppssibility of increased costs if the Contractor has to continue picking up the full tins at the front gate instead of at the ROAD KERB. ICbuncil requests the co-operation of Residents in this matter, otherwise tins not placed at the Road Kerb will not be emptied. You are entitled to have one tin of household refuse collected per Week and are required to provide a suitable rubbish tin which must be fitted with two handles and a close-fitting lid, and which does not exceed two cubic feet capacity. It is recommended that all refuse be wrapped in paper. The Contractor is empowered to leave tins that are not placed at ,the ROAD KERB or if they contain hot ashes, slops, or refuse other than household refuse. . T. G. RICHARDSON, Town Clerk.
