PLEASANT AFTERNOON

* OLD FOLKS’ ASSOCIATION

The Old Folks’ and Pensioners’ Association held its monthly meeting in the Labour Hall with a good attendance of members and friends, some from the Wellington Association. Three new members joined. Mrs. Elsinore gave a most enjoyable address on her experiences when representing the Maori people in London, where she received a most cordial welcome as New Zealand representative. Mr. Elsmore also gave a short talk on Palestine, which was much enjoyed. Miss Worth presided at. the piano. Afternoon tea was served.

The next meeting will be held on September 14, and will be the last meeting of the year.
