v WEDDING IN TORONTO

“Journeys end in lovers’ meeting” truly enough, for when Bebe . de Roland, the Lower Hutt dancer, became the bride of Lieutenant Pilot N. C. Eversfield at Toronto she had travelled ,by sea and air from Wellington f,or the ceremony. The ceremony was solemnised in the presence of only the bridal attendants and the groom’s mother, Mrs. Gordon Eversfield, of Toronto. The bride was gowned in silk crfepe of palest blue, with hat trimmed with sweetheart roses, and delicate pink gloves, bag and shoes. A corsage of sweetheart roses echoed the pale pink note. Miss Edna Crawford, the only bridesmaid, wore a deep pink costume, softly draped in short cape effect. Her floral hat combined deep pink roses and cornflowers. The groom w r as attended by Lieutenant Pilot R. McNaulty. They both wore the white summer uniform of the Navy. At H.M.C.S. York, where the reception was held, a gay. party gathered for the celebration befitting a naval wedding. At its conclusion Lieutenant Pilot and Mrs. Eversfield left by motor for their honeymoon in the north.
