HUTT v. CANTERBURY

The first representative table tennis match of the season'to be played in the Hutt Valley will be contested in the Defence Hall, . P.etone, on Saturday night, when Canterbury meets Hutt Valley. The touring team, which will play Wellington on Friday night, will be without their No. 1 player, Jack Boroughs, but the side includes some talented exponents of the game in Trevor Flint, Dick Gray, Mrs. Miriam Dennis and Miss Alison Peppier. Hutt will have the services of Jack Wall, George Corbett, Mrs. Audrey Hunt and Miss Ellen McNeill.

EMPIRE TEAM BEATEN The Empire Table Tennis Club’s No. 1 team suffered defeat for the first time in years last week, when it was beaten by Y.M.C.A. (Pelone) by one set after each team had won sgx games.
