GOAL OF WORLD PEACE The Wellington Lodge of the Theosophical Society had as its guest speaker last Sunday evening the Rev. Dr. Merrington, 1 Dominion President of the U.N. Associations of New Zealand, of which body the Wellington Lodge is a member.
In his opening remarks the chairman, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, K.C., drew attention to the identical nature of the aims of the U.N. and of the Theosophical Society's first object. He quoted the latter (formulated j n 1875) —“To form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity, without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or colour.
At the close of his inspiring address on “The Goal of \\ 01 Id Peace” the speaker answered questions, after which a number oi the enthusiastic audience .joined the U.N.A.
Much - appreciated violin solos were rendered before and after the lecture by the Misses Maureen and Elizabeth Castle.
