HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION Petone Women and Hutt maintained their winning form in the third round of the Hutt Valley Miniature Rifle Association’s 15 Grade competition, and in doing so both teams recorded excellent scores. Mrs. G. liowitt and A. Drummond shot possibles. Miss N. Gregory, Miss R. Hobbs, Mrs. H. Nankivell, A. Ritson, A. Brown, R. Easthopo, M. Gregory, C. Mitchell, and V. Carter shot 69’s. Match results were:
B Grade. —Petone Women, 340; P.W.M.C. 325; Hutt 341, H.V. Women 337; Petone Central 333, General Motors 325; H.V. Frontiersmen 338, Upper Hutt 320; Rivjrbank 330, P.W.M.C. Women 326.
FRONTIERSMEN CLUB The following were the results of' the Hutt Valley Frontiersmen’s Club shoot: M. Gregory and A. Linney, 70; V. Carter, L. Ruscoe, L. Gilmore, and W. Gilmore, 69; E. Henderson and K. Rowe, 68; J. Gair and C, Burgess, 67; G. Collin and G. GolFri, 66; M. Jakeman and A. Davenport, 65; F. Rosson and E. Linney, 64; R. Hunter J. Wilson, and W. McEwan, 63.
HUTT VALLEY CLUB Ten members of the Lower Hutt ClU(b journeyed to Carterton on Saturday for the Wairarapa Championship. - The teams were: —A Grade: L. Hare, H. Keene, A. Ritson, D. Robertson, and J. Ross; C Grade, R. H. Brown, A. Godfrey, E. Gibson, J. Grundy, and T. Edwards.
Don Robertson won the A Grade Championship with the line score of 39 6 out of a possible 400. live men tied for second place with a score of 39 5, one of which was Harry. Keene. Mr. Keene also won the optional aggregate with a score of 199, possible 200. D. Robertson and J. Ross were second in the Optional Pairs. The A team finished third in the teams match, being four points behind the winners. Of the C grade members R. H. Brown was successful in winning the C grade aggregate with a score of 292, possible 300, made up of 95, 100, 97. T. Edwards won the third match with a score of 9&* A. Godfrey, E. Gibson, and J. Grundy were also in the prize money.
In the weekly club shoot, L. Hare,
H. Keene, and D. Robertson shot the possible 100. The B team defeated Hutt Valley Women by five points in the latest inter-club shoot, scores being Hut; 341, H.V. Women 336.
PETONE CENTRAL CLUB No possibles were recorded at the weekly shoot of the Petone Central Miniature Rifle Club, four G9’s being the top scorers. Details were as under: P. Carlisle, M. Wakeley, A. H. O’Donnell, and C. Mitchell, 69; N. Howitt, T. Howitt, S. Jones, E. Smith, and R. H. Niclioll, 68; B. Fleming, S. Battock, R. Sammons, P. Kales, D. Elliott, F. Wales, and F. Bryant, 67; H. Smith and J. Lewis, 66; R. Still and D. McKeich, 65; G. Howitt, G. Ritchie, and R. Hepburn, 64; R. Twort, 63; B. Ongley, 62; R. Fleet, 60.
