v MOERA-WAIWHETU BRANCH

A good attendance of members and Mends of the Moera-Wai-whetu Branch of League-of-Mothcrs was presided over by Mrs. Deans. The guest speaker was the Rev. lan Dixon, who gave a most interesting - address on “Memoirs of Sounds.’’ Mr. Dixon illustrated many weird and wonderful Sounds, which' recalled memoirs of the war years. Mrs. Johnson, who held the Silver Cup for the best bloom in May, was again the successful holder for June. Four women were admitted iirto membership. Two humorous sketches were given by members of the Happiness Club and were much'enjoyed.

Afternoon tea and the singing of the National Anthem brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close.
