Drama Festival

* HUTT VALLEY INSTITUTES

The drama festival held by the Hutt Valley Federation of Women's Institutes was very interesting and enjoyable, the standard of work being high. Mrs. Elsie Lloyd acted as adjudicator. The results were:—Belmont, “The Chance of a Lifetime,” produced by Mrs. Martin, 1; Taita, “World Without Men,” 2; Valley, “Soft Low Voices,” 3. The adjudicator said Mrs. P. Dowse gave the best individual performance of the festival as the secretary in “Soft Low Voices.” The president, Mrs. V. A. Draper, presented the trophies and certificates of merit.
