Hutt Music Society

PRELUDES BY PIANO GROUP There was a good attendance of members of the Piano Group of the Hutt Valley Music Society at the last meeting. One of the most interesting and varied programmes to date was presented under the title of "Preludes," and well-performed and enjoyable items were given from the works of Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Albeniz, Pitfleld, Palmgren, Franck, Schutt, Grieg, Chopin and Bach. The following members contributed:—Dorothy Gunn, Mary Sayers. Rona Sewell, Lynette Masters, Nonie Christophers, Lionel Harris, Mary Byrne, Janet Hector, Leonie Pascoe, Jeanette Walker, Norman Dawe and Kieth Adams. Members' Evening A members' evening will be held in Chilton St. James Hal tonight, when a well-arranged programme will be presented by talented junior members of the Society. Gramophone Group The date of the meeting of the Gramophone Group has been altered to next Monday, at the home of Mr. R. S. Simpson, Sinclair Grove, Naenae.
