Salesmanship Course

CLASSES IN LOWER HUTT Better service to the community, not the teaching of high pressure salesmanship, is the aim of a course commenced in Lower Hutt this week by the New Zealand College of Retailing. The course, which will last three weeks, will include all oLsatesmanship, with the discussion of problems. . Thirty-five students are taking the course, divided into two groups—a refresher course, for people "with experience in salesmanship and a junior group. The classes are under the direction of Miss H. Parnell. The course was officially opened by Mr. ,L. V. Phillips, president of the Hutt Rotary Club, on Monday morning. Service to the community is* the link between Rotary and the school. The New Zealand College of Retailing has 700 students all ov?v New Zealand, and has branches in the four main centres. ." A course just completed in Hamilton was so successful that a further one has been asked for.
