Lady Baden-Powell, World Chief Guide, who left last week on her return to England, visited 32 towns and travelled 4000 miles during her tour of New Zealand.
Mrs. P. A. Pearce, of Invercargill, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. D. J. Cruickshank, of Lower Hutt. • • Mrs. R. Richardson has returned to Lower Hutt from Wanganui, where she was the guest of the Mayoress, Mrs. W. J. Rogers.
Mrs. May Mellor has been wardrobe mistress of the Ballet Rambert, now visiting New Zeaiaaid, for 17 years.
Miss Berys Ball has arrived from Gisborne to take charge of the speech therapy clinic in. Lower Hutt. • * * Miss Mary Leahy, daughter of Mrs. J. P. Leahy, of Lower Hutt, has secured a post in the Royal Free Infirmary of London. She holds a dietitian’s diploma.
