PLUNKET BALL

COMPLETE PLANS MADE The annual ball of the Lower Hutt branch of the Plunket Society, which is always one of the most enjoyable and successful social events of the season, will.be held in the Horticultural Hall on Friday, July 30. At a meeting of the committee last week, presided over by the Mayor, Mr. E. P. Hay, Mr. B. V. Cooksley was appointed chairman of the ball committee, Mr. L. V. Phillips secretary, and Mr. F. Lonsdale treasurer. The meeting was a very enthusiastic one, and everything points to the ball being a great success. Wishnowski's popular band has been engaged to provide the dance music.
