Health Stamps The Lower Hutt City Council has made a purchase of health stamps. The Mayor said at the last meeting that the opening day's sales of stamps were very gratifying, and it was hoped that the total sales wouTd double those of last year. More Members Wanted The annual report of the Hutt Valley Competitions Society stated that there is still room i for a healthy increase in members. The executive believes that there are many well-wishers in the district, who would be only too happy to enrol if presented with the opportunity. Now that hall problems have been solved temporarily, it is earnestly hoped that the society will attract a larger permanent measure of public support.

Hutt Girl and Footballers Miss Beatrice Taylor, of Lower Hutt, had members of the New Zealand League football team as fellowpassengers to England on the liner Rangltlkl. She helped them with rehearsals of a show, and on the last night of the voyage the manager, Mr. J. Redwood, thanked her for her assistance, presented her with a Kiwi Rugby League badge, and made her a member of the team, saying that they would watch her musical career with interest and expected to hear of her in a few years' time.
