The tanif. played under perfect weather conditions, was fast and exciting and resulted in a win for the Hutt Valley team, the scores being Hint Valley 16. Wanganui 15. Tiie Hutt Valley team is to be commended on its fine performance and behaviour on the Held. J. O'Regan's double play on second base was a feature of the game. L. Greer played a very sate game as catcher. L. Thomas also gave a fine display of pitching. i>- Halveand K. Briggs. on lirst and third bases respectively, fully merited their inclusion In the team, as did tieoutfielders, whose catching and backing up play was without fault, especially that of P. Neilson at left field. Much credit is due to the Wanganui team for their sportsmanship and hospitality throughout the Hutt Valley team's slay.
