Anzac Day

DAWN PARADE AND SERVICE

SPIRIT OF REMEMBRANCE

Complete arrangements have now heen made for the observance of Anzac Day in the Hutt Valley. For the dawn parade members of the Returned Services Association will fall in at 5.4 5 a.m. in Andrews' Avenue. Lower Hutt. and march to the Recreation Ground, where a service will be conducted by Rev. W. E. Hurst. After the service members will march back to the U.S.A. rooms, where a re-union will be held.

In the afternoon there will be a parade from Andrews' Avenue to a civilians' service of remembrance in the Recreation Ground, which will be addressed by Padre E. F. Fanand the Rev. K. W. Evans ami A. Brown will assist.

The Petone service has been can"ccllod, and residents of Petone are asked to combine in the service In Lower Hutt.

After__th.e service ex-servicemen will visit soldiers' graves in the Talta Cemetery, and a short address will be given by Padre Farr. In the evening there will be a concert in the King George Theatre, for which an excellent programme has heen arranged. The proceeds will be devoted to the work of the Returned Services Association.

Members of the Hutt Valley Home- ■ V s * *■ servicemen's Association will i .participate in the afternoon service, and are asked to parade in Andrews' Avenue at 1.45 p.m.

*B" COY. NATIONAL RESERVE

Members of "D" Coy. National Reserve will parade as a Unit on Anzac Day to take part in the ceremony at the Recreation Ground. At the conclusion of the ceremony tincompany will march to the Hibernian Hall to spend a social hour.
