Free milk daily, and free apples in season are now supplied to primary school children. Free dental services have heen greatly extended. Medical care is provided for all schools, and a school doctor can arrange for any child to go to one of our seven Health Camps for tip to six weeks. A true balance The folly of attempting to cram the mind and make no allowance for the physical stresses and strains of growing up is a thing of the past in New Zealand's State schools. We want balanced youngsters with healthy minds in welldeveloped bodies. Games and rhythmic exercises are now based on scientific • rm ■'jtjiA 7; ! :'-\ study of the growing human body. More than fifty men and women specially trained in the new methods are engaged whole-time in physical education in the primary schools and training colleges. High production will pay Every advance in education costs money, but can any nation make a better investment ? Our steady progress can be maintained only by steady work from all of us.
