CHRISTMAS PARTIES

FREE KINDERGARTEN & ASSOCIATION Very happy children's Christmas parties were held in each of. the, three Kindergartens under the control of the N. B. Riley Lower Huti Free Kindergarten Association Every minute of the afternoon was .horoughly enjoyed by the little ones, ;he great thrill of the parties being the" appearance of "Father Christ.nas,'' who presented to each child a toy from the prettily-decorated Christmas tree.

The president, Mrs. Burns, and Miss Gorrie welcomed the parents and friends of Kindergarten who were present. Expressions of thanks and appreciation were given to all members of the Kindergarten Council and local committees- for their hard work during the year. The Association bad been faced with many difficulties and it was only by the strenuous effort and hard work of all these members that these difficulties had been overcome. Staff Tarry Recently a very enjoyable Christmas party was given by the staff of the N. B. Riley Lower Hutt Free Kindergartens for all mothers and friends of the Combined Mothers' Clubs, a very interesting feature of the evening being the exhibition of handwork and kindergarten equipment made by members of the staff as well as handwork and drawings done by the kindergarten children. The happy evening closed with carol singing.
