OPENING OF SEASON The last few weeks Have seen club members undergoing training for the big season to come, and on Monday nifcht, at the Hutt Hoofr?».tioh Ground, the Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic Club commenced Its weekly club meetings. . These meetings will be held every Monday evening and all events will be held on a handicap basis, A big number of athletes has been present :it training, and it looks as if a record number of active members will be competing this year. Gilmour lias got the interest of tile boys with his easy manner and can usually be found with a cluster of athletes round him. Me lias at ast got. his poies for vaulting and .he club should be able to make 'hings hum with this highly entertainlng'sport. We again appeal to Lhe women—cannot you be persuaded to have a try-out?
