A T # MUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION' The newly-l'ormed Hutt Valley Marching Association is preparing a season that promises to be the most spectacular that has yet been seen in the Valley. The girls are very keen; in fact, some teams have been practising three nights a week l'or some months. But that keenness must be fostered by gotd trainers'. There is a desperate need for men who are fully conversant with marching to help this pastime along. The Hutt Valley has plenty of talent, but needs trainers urgently. The association is making -plans to put on a monster show in December, when girls from various parts of the North Island will be present. Besides this the association is holding the Hutt Valley Championship in the early part of the New Year. Formation of Teams At present there are approximately six teams in the Valley, and more are being formed. Any ten girls who are keen on marching are fully entitled to form a team of their own. In fact, it is the desire of the association to encourage and foster oneteam clubs. The association lias plans formulated to run a tournament where teams of the Valley will have competitions at least once or twice a month. Points will be given and a trophy awarded to the winner at the end of a given period. Any person who is willing to offer his services as trainer should got in touch with the president or secretary at onee.
