MIL G. LONDON’S MEETINGS The National Party candidate for Petone, Mr. George London, has been busily engaged addressing meetings of members of the party at Petone, Lower I-lutt, Day’s Bay, Lowry Bay, York Bay, and I’oiut Howard. All these branches report record memberships, with strong' committees to assist the candidate, whose selection has been received with great enthusiasm at well-attended meetings. He has yet to meet the branches at Eastbourne, Wainui-o-Mata, and VVaiwhetu before opening ids campaign .by addressing the electors at Point Howard on Wednesday, October 150th. Mr. London expresses his thanks for the many offers of assistance, particularly from exservicemen, and from friends who hitherto have taken little interest in politics. Twelve public meetings have been arranged, and arrangements are being made for the erection of a hut for headquarters, at the corner of Jackson and Buick Streets, Petone, similar to the one recently erected by the National Party in High Street, Lower Hull.
