NAENAE ROAD

IN DEPLORABLE CONDITION The condition of Naenae Road was referred to at the last meeting of the Lower Hull City Council by Councillor G. L. Oiesen, who stated that despite the fact that much water had been poured on the road it was still as dusty as ever. Councillor H. F. Muir thought it was deplorable that nothing could be done. Many of the houses in the neighbourhood needed repainting on account of the coating of dust. The Mayor said that no answer had been received from the Government regarding the proposed loan.
