FIRST PASSENGER CAR PRODUCED FOR SIX YEARS
As the first passenger car produced since 1940 rolls off the final assembly line, the management 'and staff of the New Zealand Ford factory join in a lusty cheer. It is an English 10- h.p Prefect. The Company's policy of completely building all its products in New Zealand, from component parts manufactured in England and Canada, is rehabilitating large numbers of men, Since the factory was established in 1936 over 31,000 cars and trucks have been built. Although there is a large banked-up demand for passenger cars, restricted importations limit present production.
