HUTT AWARDED WIN After hearing an explanation from the captain of the Hutt team this " week, the management committee of the Wellington Cricket Assocition decided to award the Hutt team an . outright win over Petone in the senior match played on the Petone Recreation Ground on December 1. C. Muir, captain of the Hutt club, said Petone had five substitutes to replace players who had left about o o'clock. There was no agreement to draw stumps. It was not any of the Hutt players or the umpires who drew the stumps. Mr. G. E. Banks said that as Pe- . tone had refused to continue play, the committee had no option but to award an eight-point to Hutt.
