MINIATURE RIFLES
Tlie Hult Vailey Miniature Rifle Association's Ladies' Championship meeting held recently proved a very great success. The shooting was of a high standard and the Hutt Valley champion, Miss M. Calder (Hutt Ladies), fired exceptionally well, only dropping seven points in J'oiir matches. Owing to the illness of the Association's president, Mr. A. E. Fl'rost, Mr. Ashman introduced Mr. Dawson, who made the presentation ol! the trophies 'The following" are the main results: • H.V. Championship: Scott Shield and H. W. Nash's trophy: Miss M. Calder (H'.L), 27;!. H.V. Championship (runner-up)): Mrs. Jenness' Trophy: This resulted in a tie between Mrs. Jenness (H.L) and Airs. Roberta (P.L), 2UB. Jn the shoot-ofl", Mrs. Jenness took the laurels. A Crude Aggregate: Hutt Ladies' Trophy: Mis* M. Calder (ILL.), 205; Mrs. Jenness (ILL), 21);;; Mrs. Rubers (P.L), 2tn. B Grade Aggregate: Petone Ladles Trophy: Mrs. Hewson (P. YV.M.C.L; 197; Mrs. Nankivelle (H.V.L.), I'JC; Mrs Birt, (P.L), 190. ' r* , . C. Beginners' Match: Mrs. Nicholas' Trophy: Mrs. Beard (H.V.L.), GG; Mrs. Sissons (M), 05; Miss Clil'ton (R), r.3. "Ji.iwfcon" Points Cup: This was competed i'or by all clubs and the points were taken over the whole nueting, the winners being Petone Ladies.
