OBITUARY

Mil W. li. McGKJK The death occurred recently of Mr. W. L. McGee (Alex) of Lower Hutt. The lute Mr McGee was bom at Nelson and served liis time with the Anchor Foundry. Ho later .joined the Railway Workshops staff at Petone and during his US years service was stationed at; Napier, Westport, Wellington and Auckland. At the time of his retirement seven years ago, Mr. McGee was car and. wagon inspector at Wanganui. Mr. McGee is survived by his widow, who resides at Melling, and his two daughters, Mrfs. J. Saggers, and Miss Nola McGee. His only son, Noel,, served on the. H.M.S. "Neptune"', which was lost at sea. There are also three surviving sisters —M rs . Collins of Eastbourne, Mrs. H. Hounsell, Lower Hutt, and Mrs. R. Miller, Palmerston North.
