On Sunday evening last, in addition to a very full attendance of servicemen and women from the adjacent camps and stations, the Lower Hutt Services Club had the pleasure of extending hospitality to a number of overseas ex-prisoners of war who were spending the week end in the Wellington district on route to their homes across the Tasman. They spoke in very appreciative ,jtcrms Jjriqf visit to>h| Giu'bS and di {lie ivarmth of thoiJ welcome in New Zealand. The ladies' committee of the Club were the hostesses for the week-end and the unpleasant feather cpndiwith hfeV mantis for meals, added to their duties to a large extent. A most enjoyable programme of variety items was submitted for the entertainment of those present and included songs by Jean 'Fearon and Kevin Russell, and songs and dances by Pat and Val. Simpson.
