PETONE ROWING NOTES

(By G.L.E.) Four crews competed in the "Harlem Cup" race for junior oarsmen last Saturday. Two heats and a final resulted in a well merited win for Jim Alexander and his crew— F. Greenstreet, G. Binifa and W Alexander. The winning crew combined remarkably well and the following also turned on creditable performances: H. Brown, A. Booth, C. Harvey and W. Muller. Once again poor timing, shooting I slides, and slow handwork were in evidence, a little concentration on these points by the coaches would not go amiss. Bad luck still dogs the senior four that was selected for Pieton. The latest to signify his inability to make the trip is Harry Barraclough. Already at different times six men have filled the four positions and the crew is . still incomplete. ,i >>: Next Saturday,, December 2nd, wea. ther permitting, the trials for the "Norton Cup" inter-club regatta will be held.
