WAIWHETU TOWNS WOMEN'S GUILD

Mrs Wilson presided at the Christmas meeting- of the Wa'iwhetu Towns women's Guild at whicTT the "Kitchen Quiz" was won by Mrs. Brown. Five other contestants received consolation prizes, while a special competition was won by Mrs McElwain, while Mrs Cooper won the best flower. Floral tributes were presented to Mrs. Wallis and Mrs. Green following' entertaining items by these ladies. Mrs. Mayo gave a practical floral demonstration showing how artistic sprays could be made without wire. The Drama Circle entertained with an unsual sketch "The Bathroom Tay." The next meeting will be held on the fourth Wednesday in February. The president thanked* all the ladies for their co-operation during the year and wished all a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.
