® The Posties' Drive last Saturday for tlie Sick unit Wo untied Fund met with a splendid response from the Hutt residents and exceeded last Ifc- ./♦"'year's figures. The sum of £787/;;/- - lias already been handed in and fur- ► ther donations are still being received. The Joint Councils of Red Cross and St. John express their sincere gratitude to the postmaster, Mr. Bennett, and the postmen and post- - ,women lor the splendid work they did in undertaking such a worthy task. Thanks are also expressed to the many willing' workers who so Cheerfully assisted the posties, includ ing the Scouts from St. James's Troop and No. 2 and No. :.i Groups, the Hutt ; Valley High School Girls, and members of the St. John and Red Cross.
