4 Hello Everybody,—The next Scout Camplire will bo held in the Sea ,Scout Den on Saturday next at p.m. The Den is just west of the Petone wharf. ' The training course for Scoutmasters Was concluded at First Lower Hutt Scout Hall last Saturday afternoon. The training-team wish to thank Mr. 11. Nelson, Mr. 1L E. Browne, Mr. E. Zambra, members of St. John Ambulance Association,, Mr Hodge and Commissioners for the series of yarns and demonstrations given during the' course. To the Third Lower Hutt and First Lower Hutt Group Committees we , tender thanks for the use of their halls. Scouts of the Hutt Valley will be on the air during tho Children's Hour at 2YA on Thursday, September 14 th. The services of members of St. John Ambulance Brigade as instructors and examiners has been arranged for us by the Superintendent. Two Brigade in Petone and two resident in Lower Hutt have volunteered . to arrange classes and take First Aid Tests. Every Scout Troop will, now be able to have expert instruction. St. Christopher's Scout Den at ( Waiwhetu is one which would appeal to our Founder. Originally a coach shed and cow byre, the place is being altered by an energetic committee into 'an excellent Den, Whore the cow once chewed its hay. a neat little office is being made where lht' Scoutmaster and the Patrol Leaders can chew over their problems. The Homedale Troop at Wamui-o-mata has been lent an old four-room-ed cottage and it. too. will gradually bo converted to the service of Scouting. A limited supply of County Badger - lias come to hand. Apply to Badge Secretaries, Scouter E. Young, Pe- . tone, and Rover Leader It. Marston. Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt.
