ATTEMPTED THEFT
When Jamlm Edward Ashley Perry, a at a Nae Nae camp, entered the bedroom of a Lower Hutt hlotejli without authority, he happened on a room occupied by a police officer, Sergeant Jas. Sutherland. Mr. Sutherland, who was in plain clbthes, had previously not to loiter about the hotel; lie afterwards returned to his room and found the door closed, the accused within, and a suitcase ready to be removed. On a charge of attempted theft Perry, who had a list of previous convictions, was sentenced at Lower Hutt to seven days' imprisonment.
