The usual monthly meeting of the Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary (Waterloo Branch), was held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall, Birch Street, on Friday last, Mrs. H. Seddon Hills presiding. The main discussion concerned their forthcoming "Opportunity Fair" which is being held in the Birch Street Y.M.C.A. Hall on Friday, November 2 6 th. The stalls, thanks to the energies of the members of the Auxiliary, and through I the generous donations of many firms and friends, should be well stocked with worthwhile articles for all. The doors will be opened at 2.15 p.tii., when his Worship the Mayor, Mr. J. W. Andrews, will oflicially open the Fair. The evening programme promises to be very enjoyable as Mrs. Heymann will entertain with her well known 'Puppet Show. This will be followed by demonstrations from the members of the Y.M.C.A. Classes interspersed with popular items and comedy. To all, a cordial invitation is extended to come along and help this institution in its line work for the young people of the Valley.
